Aurus is preparing to officially introduce the Komendant SUV

Aurus Motors continues to expand its lineup. Representatives of the company officially announced the imminent launch of a new car in mass production - a full-size SUV Aurus Komendant.


The model is positioned as a domestic alternative to the luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan. When exactly mass production can begin is not reported, but they promise that soon.

Aurus Motors engineers claim that everything is ready at the Sollers-Yelabuga plant to launch the Komendant SUV into mass production. It remains only to complete the final work, release several cars, make an official presentation of the luxury model and wait for the influx of buyers.


There will be problems with the last point - although the cost of Aurus Komendant is not yet known, it will obviously be no less than for the Senat model. Recall that for that car in the basic configuration they ask for at least 24 million rubles.

Some technical details of the Aurus Komendant SUV are already known. It is built on the same platform as Senat. It turns out that there will be no frame here. On the one hand, this is a minus, but the car will become more comfortable, and with better handling.

Under the hood of the Aurus Komendant SUV is a V8 engine of its own design. Well, almost - this motor was ordered from Porsche Engineering. Someone even claims that this is a copied V8 power unit from BMW.

It looks like the conversation is about the S63/N63 engine. But any mechanic who has experience working with a German power unit, seeing the Aurus engine, will immediately say that it even looks different.

Most likely, the car will receive an additional electric motor, as is the case with Aurus Senat. Drive, of course, full.


In general, Aurus, if you look at it, has a lot of technical solutions similar to BMW cars of the seventh series of previous generations. But they are not blindly copied - NAMI finalized the nodes in accordance with the characteristics of national operation.

The length of Aurus Komendant is already known - 5 mm. The salon is only four-seater, and the main focus is on the “boss seat” at the rear-right.

Some experts believe that the cost of the new Aurus Komendant SUV will be lower than that of the Senat model. And we can only wait for the official presentation and announcement of the pricing policy.
