In the Soviet Union, all cars were valued. But already in the 80s, drivers began to choose. Some “Cossacks” or “Muscovites” did not want to - they stood in lines further, hoping to wait for a “Zhiguli” or even a “Lada”. “Niva” somehow did not fall into this category. This does not mean that such cars stagnated in stores. It’s just that city dwellers weren’t particularly eager to buy them, preferring “decent” sedans and hatchbacks. Many people called the VAZ-2121 a collective farm car. Nevertheless, this model is the only one from the entire extensive range of the Soviet AvtoVAZ that has survived to this day. And LADA Niva Legend is similar to that car both externally and structurally.
Is it worth buying a Niva now? There are two opinions here. On the one hand, this is the most budget-friendly new SUV. On the other hand, maybe it’s better to take an old VAZ-2121 at several times cheaper? Moreover, in the review on the Club Service channel they just showed the new LADA Niva Legend with the trim removed. There is a feeling that the car needs to be improved immediately after purchase. It seems that manufacturing techniques have not changed since the late 1970s. If so, then why pay more? You will still have to invest money. But it’s better to see than to hear a hundred times!

Soviet truck cranes did not have an impressive boom reach, but were still valued at construction sites. Of course - they made manual work tens, or even hundreds of times easier...
