Hyundai Motor Group's plans for next year become known

Koreans remain popular in our country. Many brands hold an ambivalent position. That is, they did not announce a complete cessation of activities in Russia, but quietly reduce their presence in our car dealerships to a minimum. Finding parts is also a problem. All the newest cars have to be bought through parallel imports.


But neither the difficulties with the warranty, nor the skyrocketing prices stop fans of Korean cars. Recently, Hyundai held a presentation where they shared plans for the release of new products this and next year. A lot of previously unknown cars and restylings are planned. In addition to the brand of the same name, the concern includes Kia and two specialized sub-brands: the premium Genesis and the XNUMX% electric Ioniq.

Hyundai

The next event of the brand is the appearance on sale of a restyling of the i20 model, it is scheduled for the summer. Cars similar to this i10 and i30 will receive appearance updates a little later, but before the new year.

Also promised is the market launch of an electric version of the second-generation Kona compact SUV. Its versions with internal combustion engines and a hybrid power plant have become available recently. A car with an electric drive will be noticeably more expensive: the price is promised from 38 thousand euros against the already existing ones for 26.


In 2024, we should expect a “sporty” version of the Tucson N. The information has not yet received official confirmation, but car spies are predicting a 2,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine for the car. Possible characteristics - 290 l. With. and 421 N * m. There will also be a restyling of the “ordinary” Tucson, it should be expected this year.

Kia

This brand is much more "parent" aimed at electrification. Nothing less, they intend to become the leading brand in this segment on a global scale. By 2027, at least 15 new models are promised, and in 2040 management expects to completely stop the production of cars with internal combustion engines.

This year it is worth waiting for sales of EV9. This is a "typically American" SUV - large, angular and spacious. The starting price will be around 50 thousand euros.

An ambulance presentation of the “little brother” of this SUV is also expected. The EV5 concept has already been shown before, but it is not clear in what form it will reach the buyer. Both in terms of design and technology, it is very similar to the EV9. The main differences in appearance come down to the shape of the optics.


EV2024 is already tentatively scheduled for 4. It seems that it will be one of the largest Kia cars - 4,5 m in length. On the technical side, there is still too little information to draw conclusions.

Ioniq

Previously produced as a standalone Hyundai model, the car has grown into a sub-brand. Technological solutions of Ioniq are actively used in other machines of the concern. For example, the already mentioned Kia uses their platform.

Of the brand's new cars, it is worth waiting for the 5N modification by the end of 2023. According to forecasts, the "sports" version of the electric car will receive a 570-horsepower engine. Acceleration to 100 km / h is expected in the region of 3,5 seconds.


And at the beginning of 2024, the futuristic Ioniq 7 will enter the market. In terms of dimensions, it is close to the familiar Santa Fe. The declared features are two electric motors with a total of 313 hp. with., all-wheel drive and up to 480 km of run without recharging.

genesis

The premium class brand turned out to be the least rich in new items. As before, the bet is made on sales of the G90.

Later, the appearance of a new flagship is scheduled. This is the GV90 SUV. According to unconfirmed rumors, the machine may receive the E-GMP platform from Ioniq. If this turns out to be true, the SUV will be close in performance to the Kia EV9, but offer more comfort for the driver and passengers.


The release date and overall likelihood of a luxurious Genesis X remains a mystery. So far, the car exists only at the level of the concept, first shown in 2022.
