Kia and Hyundai (that's how the word is pronounced in Russian) is one concern. Hyundai Motor Group owns Kia Corporation. For this reason, cars are similar to each other and are often co-platform.
Electric crossovers Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 are not yet mass-produced, but the start of their sales is just around the corner. The cars are assembled on a single Hyundai E-GMP platform, designed specifically for electric cars. Both crossovers will have the same chassis, engines and batteries.

Cars will be offered in several modifications, differing in trim levels and power reserve.
Thanks to the installed 77,4 kWh battery, all-wheel drive top versions of Korean crossovers will be able to drive up to 412 km on a single charge.
“Where are the promised 480?” - you ask. Don't worry - it's true. Rear-wheel drive modifications will have such a power reserve, because the 4x4 formula involves the installation of an electric motor on each axle. Naturally, this will lead to energy overruns!
Many buyers of crossovers do not need all-wheel drive at all - hardly anyone will dare to travel through remote places on an electric car! But the increase in power reserve is relevant! Especially considering the fact that there are not enough charging stations for everyone!
It's one thing when you live in a private house and can "refuel" from your own outlet. What about in cities? Few charging parking spaces are occupied by drivers of cars with traditional internal combustion engines.

Kia Corporation claims that their rear-wheel drive EV6 crossover with the most powerful battery is capable of driving not 480, but 500 kilometers! This allows the electric car to approach the Tesla Model Y, whose performance is slightly higher - 525 km.
After the start of sales of Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, another interesting car should appear - this is the Genesis GV60, created on the same platform - Hyundai E-GMP. What his maximum power reserve will be is still unknown.
Given that Genesis is the premium division of Hyundai Motor Group, you can expect the range of the GV60 to be even higher.
Korean manufacturers are developing rapidly. They have come close to the class leader - Tesla, and are unlikely to stop until they overtake the brainchild of Elon Musk!
The cost of Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 has not yet been announced, but the group's management makes it clear that the main presentation is just around the corner.
