Lamborghini Urus now has a hybrid version - only one electric motor and 789 horsepower

Lamborghini has unveiled a hybrid version of its Urus crossover. Now it is the most powerful car in the line. At the same time, the gasoline engine was derated to make it more durable.


Lamborghini Urus SE produces 789 hp. With. These figures were achieved thanks to a single electric motor built into the automatic transmission. A small running battery allows you to travel up to 60 kilometers without using an internal combustion engine.

Let us remind you that the Lamborghini Urus crossover debuted in 2017. They didn’t think about any hybrid versions back then - the environmental trend had not yet affected exclusive models.


The Lamborghini Urus has been updated for 2022. But even by that time the hybrid modification had not appeared. It debuted just now, although sales have not yet started. The manufacturer did not even announce the cost.

The Urus SE is a plug-in hybrid. There is nothing special about it - a standard design, like other premium crossovers from the Volkswagen concern. The car is created on the MLB Evo platform. By the way, Lamborghini Urus SE is the most powerful production crossover of this type. For example, the new hybrid Porsche Cayenne Turbo develops only 739 hp. With.

Under the hood of the car is a turbocharged V8 petrol engine. Its volume is 4,0 liters. The power is less than that of the Urus with a classic internal combustion engine - 620 instead of 666 “horses”. But an electric motor with 192 hp is integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. With. Thanks to this, the total power of the car is 789 “horses”.

The hybrid has full drive, but it has been simplified and made more crossover. Now, together with the Torsen differential, there is a multi-plate clutch. This made it possible to reduce the weight of the car and make it more environmentally friendly.

The hybrid Lamborghini Urus accelerates to the first hundred in 3,4 seconds. By the way, the petrol “low-power” version has a 666 hp engine. With. this indicator is better by 0,1 sec.


Maximum speed – 312 km/h. If you drive in electric car mode, the latter figure is limited to 135 km/h.

Even in the basic version, the Urus SE will receive a maximum of options - this is a full-fledged exclusive. The only thing they offer to pay extra for is alloy wheels R22 or R23 instead of the standard R21. And of course, the interior design at the customer’s request remains.

The cost of the hybrid crossover, according to experts, will be at least 250 thousand euros (24,7 million rubles).
