VAZ 2112 on the chassis of the DT-75 tractor: the start of a unique project

The VAZ 2112 and other legends of the domestic auto industry have been subjected to all sorts of tweaks by folk craftsmen. But the “Kulibins” from the YouTube channel “Combat Crew” have gone much further than installing the notorious body kits and chip tuning the engine. We present to your attention a unique project. Within its framework, the VAZ 2112 will be placed on a tracked chassis from the no less legendary agricultural tractor DT-75!

Snowfall and cold did not prevent the heroes of today's mini-review from going outside and starting to try on massive caterpillars on a fairly shabby, but still promising “dvenar”. In just over 29 minutes of the video, the DT-75 tractor lost its cab, because the craftsmen only need its chassis. Then, with the help of a truck crane, the car was hoisted onto tracks and tried on what and where it would be. During the tests, it turned out that the driver of the upgraded VAZ 2112 would have to steer not from the front, but from the back row. It was under it that the caterpillar levers were located. There is no need to talk about comfort, but first of all, the project was created to surprise.

In the next issues, the authors plan to connect the 16-valve engine through a conventional gearbox with a transport transmission. Will a standard engine pull such a mass? We will follow.
