In the Russian Federation, up to half of the cost of customs clearance can be reimbursed, but not for everyone

At the initiative of parliamentarians, a draft law has been developed that implies a preferential procedure for registering cars imported from abroad. If this law is passed, the amount of the customs fee can be reduced to 50%, the rest will be reimbursed from the federal budget. The preferential conditions will apply to both new and used cars.


The program will be available for certain categories of citizens:

✅Parents (adoptive parents) who have three or more minor children
✅ Combat Veterans

The benefit can only be used once. According to the authors of the law, this will make it possible to exclude all kinds of abuses and the establishment of "gray schemes". If approved by the government, the innovation will come into force from the beginning of 2023, and will be valid for a calendar year.




The opinions of experts and ordinary people on this issue are divided. Some believe that the measure is justified, and the support of some segments of the population is really necessary. In the light of the lack of production of six or more local models of domestically produced cars, the initiative put forward is extremely relevant for large families. Others believe that this is another opportunity for enterprising “outbidders” to earn more.
