Aviation Russia is being revived - the import-substituted SJ-100 enters the assembly line
It is no secret that until quite recently the domestic aviation industry boldly used foreign-made components and assemblies in its developments. However, recent events have clearly shown that you must rely only on your own strength. And our engineers, rolling up their sleeves, began active work on import substitution - not to stop entire industries because of unscrupulous suppliers.

One of the most striking examples of active work in this direction is the short-haul passenger airliner SJ-100, better known as the Sukhoi Superjet 100. Regional aviation needs this machine like air yesterday. The resulting hitch with the supply of critical components, of course, was resolved, and in a fairly short time. And now serious work is going on in the assembly hangars. SJ-100 aircraft began to be assembled not individually, but in batches. And all of them, down to the last screw and wiring, are ours!

But all these are big words, but what it really looks like was clearly shown on the Zvezdalive14 video channel. Components and assemblies produced by Russian enterprises on Russian soil flock to the assembly hangar from all over our vast country. For example, fuselages come from Komsomolsk-on-Amur, aircraft engines come from Rybinsk. The aircraft control unit is assembled in Kursk, St. Petersburg supplies the fuel system, and Yaroslavl provides its own aircraft tires. This is not a complete list. And the “vaunted” imported quality is no longer quoted - our systems and units are not only not inferior, but often superior to foreign analogues. How can this be? Just watch the video and everything will become clear!
