30 Hyundai i2024 unveiled – production to begin within a month

The South Korean brand Hyundai showed a restyled version of the i30 model. This is already the third update within the current generation. The manufacturer is in no hurry to switch to the next, fourth generation of i30. It is quite possible that it will not exist.


Let us remind you that the Hyundai i30 in Russia is better known as the Ceed. These two models are created on a single platform and are offered in hatchback and station wagon body styles. Hyundai i30 is also available as a fastback.

Cars are mainly equipped with internal combustion engines - gasoline or diesel. There are no electric cars in this line. Hybrids are available for some markets.


The restyled version of the Hyundai i30 received several external changes. The high beam lights have been removed from the lower part of the front bumper. Now they are integral with the head optics and are LED. The taillights and interior lighting have not changed externally. But they are also LED now.

New alloy wheels have appeared. Seven body colors have been added. The instrument panel retains the original mechanical clock, but the monitor displays have become larger.

Other changes in the interior are not striking. For example, the lower part of the dashboard now has a new varnish, which provides a more pleasant tactile sensation. And it looks more expensive than before. The box between the front seats is painted gloss black. It looks more solid.

There are more USB-C chargers for gadgets – now there are three. The navigation system will always be up to date - it has the ability to be updated over wireless networks.

As for options, there will be more of them even in the basic configuration. In addition to automatic emergency braking, a lane keeping system, an intelligent speed limiter and rear parking sensors have appeared.

New assistants have also been announced that were not there before. For example, when another car approaches from the right or left, the updated Hyundai i30 will lock the doors. And the Highway Driving Assist 1.5 system is not only able to maintain distance, but also reduces the speed to a safe one when taking sharp turns.


As for the engines, the Hyundai i30 remains unchanged. Under the hoods of the cars there will be 1,0 and 1,5 liter petrol engines. Their power ranges from 110 to 160 hp. Diesel power units with only one volume - 1,6 liters. But the power can be either 115 or 136 “horses”.

Gearboxes paired with engines are mechanical and automatic. There are also options with an AMT robotic transmission.

The production of the updated Hyundai i30 will start in April. The model will be assembled at a plant in the Czech Republic.
