"Lada Tarzan" 4x4 diesel: an extremely rare copy
Lada Tarzan is a rare representative of the family of off-road passenger cars from AvtoVAZ. The first copies were an unusual hybrid of Niva and Samara. From the first car we received the engine, transmission and chassis, from the second - a body with plastic linings. All this is on a monocoque frame and with independent rear suspension. The second generation received a diesel engine from Peugeot and was produced in the amount of 105 copies. Some have “survived” to this day.

Alas, the “crossover” based on the bodies of the VAZ 2109 and VAZ 2111 did not catch on among the people. Even now the model looks extremely unusual, like a homemade product from the local Kulibin. The cars were produced on a pre-order basis. The total number of versions that came off the assembly line is a little more than 2500 copies. Production of the second generation ceased in 2006.

The video on the Combat Crew YouTube channel shows in detail the process of refining one of the surviving Lada Tarzan 4x4 diesel-powered examples. For example, the author partially reassembled and adjusted the suspension, replaced the wheels, the fuse box and a wide range of other parts. What happened in the end and how it goes - you will find out in the video on the channel.
