Matrix Motors offers a new electric minivan for 323 thousand rubles

The Shanghai startup Matrix, specializing in the production of electric vehicles, at one time made an almost revolutionary revolution in the organization of urban logistics of goods and cargo.


It is known that for the past few decades, electric three-wheeled scooters have been the main delivery vehicle in the Chinese provinces. However, for all their maneuverability, efficiency and other visible advantages, they did not satisfy all needs. Namely: the drivers of such vehicles do not have proper protection, they do not have access to many advanced technical functions and other advantages of a full-fledged transport.


Therefore, focusing on the requests and wishes of delivery service workers, Matrix launched its first Matrix 2021 EV transport truck in 01. The manufacturer is known to have worked closely with China Post and with the local version of Uber. And today, despite a slight decrease in the popularity of these services in China, the company continues its development, and recently presented its new product Matrix 01.

This light truck demonstrates a whole range of objective advantages and at the same time has a more than affordable price. The cost of new items is in the range of 4200 - 5800 dollars, depending on the configuration.


The presented version has the following dimensions:

The car has one row of seats and a cargo compartment with a volume of 2 liters, expandable to 300 liters by removing the passenger seat. For a better view, a rear view camera is connected. The driver also has access to an audio system, USB port, power windows, air conditioning, etc.

The machine is equipped with a 15 kW electric motor, which is capable of delivering a peak torque of up to 90 Nm. The battery with a capacity of 10,36 kWh is enough for a distance of up to 120 km. It is worth noting that the previous version was able to overcome 220 km, but the option to increase the battery is not yet available in the new model.


The declared carrying capacity of a budget truck does not exceed 825 kg. The maximum speed is 71 km/h. Charging the battery will require from 4 to 8 hours, depending on the modification. Objectively, Matrix 01 offers a new level of high-tech urban logistics.

The company's future plans include the production of a fully autonomous, unmanned Matrix 00 model.
