Skoda is preparing to update a number of cars in the model range
The Czech company Skoda has officially announced its plans for the next few years. Already this year, Kodiaq and Superb of the new generation will be shown. Most likely, we are talking about pre-production models. It is unlikely that they will be sold in 2023.

Skoda Kodiaq is a popular compact crossover. It is in high demand in Europe. Therefore, the primary task of the manufacturer is to develop a new generation model. This will help not only keep sales, but also increase them.

Skoda Superb is the most luxurious car in the lineup. This car is used for business trips by the President of the Czech Republic. Although many believe that the Superb is an analogue of the Volkswagen Passat, this is not entirely true. Cars are produced on the same platform, but the Czech model is definitely more luxurious.

Kodiaq and Superb will receive new engines, including hybrid ones. The compact crossover has not yet had such a power unit. By the way, the luxurious Superb in the new generation will no longer be a Czech car. The model will begin to be assembled in the city of Bratislava - this is Slovakia. The single-platform Volkswagen Passat is also produced there.

In addition to Kodiaq and Superb, the manufacturer intends to update a number of models. And Skoda plans to release at least three new electric cars.

The Kamiq subcompact crossover will be restyled in 2023. The same fate will befall the Scala hatchback. Both cars will change externally and internally, will look more modern.

The Skoda Enyaq is a full-size electric SUV. In 2023, it is planned to release the most luxurious modification - Laurin & Klement, by analogy with the flagship Superb.

The most popular car in the Czech manufacturer's lineup, the Skoda Octavia, will be updated only in 2024. This model, unlike the Superb, is really lower in class than the Volkswagen Passat.

As for new electric cars, Skoda will introduce three models by 2026. The first is Elroq. This crossover is similar to Karoq in class and dimensions. The second electric car will replace the budget Citigo-e iV – it will also be affordable. The third is a large SUV with 7 seats. Most likely, the manufacturer still has in mind a crossover, and not a frame “rogue”.

Now Skoda is investing in development. This is necessary for sales growth, because the situation for the brand in the world markets is not very good so far. Due to the global shortage of semiconductors, withdrawal from Russia and problems with suppliers, sales in 2022 decreased by 16%.
