Genesis showed the electric concept G80 EV Magma in China
While memories of the fiery Genesis G80 Magma concept with a V6 petrol engine are still fresh, the Korean company is in a hurry to introduce its 100% electric version.


The new product has replaced the bright orange hue with the original Chinese deep blue Acme Blue. In tandem with a carbon fiber body kit and 21-inch alloy wheels it looks good.

Sang-Yup Lee, head of design at Genesis, said the creation of a unique Chinese hue demonstrates that the Magma concept car program is not limited to a specific shade or shape. Acme Blue is inspired by high-temperature blue flames.

The concept received optimized rims that provide more efficient airflow to the brake system parts. The fact that this is an electric car is hinted at by the “muffled” radiator grille and the absence of exhaust pipes.

Another detail that distinguishes the electric G80 EV Magma from the gasoline one is a narrower spoiler. The interior design also changed from orange to blue. Decorative stakes made of carbon fiber in the interior are painted in a similar shade.

Solar panels are installed on the roof of the car, which, according to the manufacturer, will provide several additional kilometers of range between main charges.

Genesis hasn't officially announced the technical specifications of the G80's electric powertrain, but has made it clear that the EV version of the concept car is significantly more powerful than the ICE version.
