Zeekr 001 has been updated - it is now more powerful and capable of towing heavy trailers

Zeekr has introduced an updated liftback model 001. The car has changed slightly in appearance, but most importantly, it has become more powerful.


Moreover, the electric car is now suitable for those who like to travel in comfort. The manufacturer officially stated in the technical specifications that the vehicle can tow trailers weighing up to 2 tons. This means that it will drag down even a large caravan.

By the way, the updated model will most likely appear in Russia as well. After all, it is one of the most popular, judging by sales volumes.


Externally, Zeekr 001 can be distinguished by new bumpers and alloy wheels with a special design. An additional lidar appeared on the roof.

The length of the electric car has increased by 7 mm – now it is 4,977, not 4,97 meters. We can thank the new bumpers for the extra millimeters. However, they are interchangeable with the old ones. So everyone can order a kit and “transform” their Zeekr 001 into a restyled modification externally.

Zeekr 001 will now be offered with two battery options. The most budget-friendly versions will be those equipped with 95 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries. Such batteries weigh 720 kg, which is more than 25% of the curb weight of the electric car.

The rear-wheel drive Zeekr 001 will receive one engine with a power of 421 hp. With. With a lithium iron phosphate battery, it can travel up to 722 km on a single charge. Naturally, this is in ideal conditions and not in “pedal to the metal” mode.

The all-wheel drive electric car is more powerful – its two engines produce 788 “horses” combined. The power reserve is stated to be up to 675 km maximum - also not bad for such power and taking into account that the batteries are the same.

The more expensive Zeekr 001 are already equipped with NMC batteries - they are lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide. This running battery has a capacity of 100 kWh, but is lighter. Its weight is 600 kg versus 720 for a lithium iron phosphate battery.


With an NMC battery, the Zeekr 001 in rear-wheel drive can travel up to 750 km. The 4x4 version has less range. Such a car can travel up to 705 km without charging. The power of modifications with different running batteries is the same. It only depends on whether it is a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive version of the Zeekr 001.

By the way, the current electric car has a power of 543 hp. With. But there is a modification with a battery capacity increased to 140 kWh. The range there is up to 1 km. Most likely, the “long-range” electric car will appear in a restyled version, but later.

The updated Zeekr 001 will replace the current model in China. Accordingly, the same awaits cars that are sent for export.
