Zeekr 001 has been updated – sales are planned to start in the first quarter of 2024

The Chinese brand Zeekr is going to update its electric car with index 001. They promise that the basic model will become cheaper. The price will start at 250 thousand yuan (3,06 million rubles). The official debut of the modernized Zeekr 001 is planned in the first quarter of 2024.


As for the start of sales, judging by the information received from the manufacturer’s press service, it will take place in April. It is possible that the most budget version of Zeekr 001 will appear a little earlier. Brand executives are concerned about the growing popularity of the Xiaomi SU7 sedan. They plan to compete with it in this price category.

Externally, the updated Zeekr 001 remains almost unchanged. If you look closely, you can only notice new bumpers, which are made in the same style. The length of the electric car body before restyling is 4,97 meters. After the update it will increase by 7 mm.


Another change that can be seen from the outside is the lidar on the roof at the front. Its appearance is associated with the improvement of driving assistance systems. There are also small changes at the rear, although they do not affect the appearance. Now there is a new camera with several lidars.

Depending on the modification, Zeekr 001 will be equipped with alloy wheels of different sizes - from R19 to R22. The tires will be wide in any case. By the way, a note to potential owners. As before the restyling, the electric car will receive hidden door handles. The “top” versions will be offered with a two-tone body.

But they promise to seriously rework the chassis. Now even the basic versions of Zeekr 001 will be based on the 800 V platform, like the “top” FR.

The most budget modifications will receive one electric motor on the rear axle with a power of 410 hp. With. Let us remind you that the engine of the current car produces only 272 “horses”.

The running batteries for single-engine modifications are lithium. Options with two engines will receive more modern lithium iron phosphate batteries. All batteries are from the CATL-Geely joint venture.
