The Korean version of Renault Koleos gets a restyling

In Europe, the life cycle of Renault Koleos is coming to an end. The model will soon be forced out of showrooms, and a three-row Espace crossover will appear instead. But not everything is lost for the car: in Korea, it continues to be sold and even receives a new restyling.


Both European and Asian versions are produced at the same plant in Busan, South Korea. But in the east, they were most recently sold under the Samsung brand. The company is not associated with a well-known manufacturer of smartphones and other equipment. Their automotive division has been owned by Renault since 2000 and more recently Renault Korea Motors. And "Koleos" here was called QM6.


In Russia, such cars through the efforts of parallel importers appeared in January of this year. Another proven option - Renault Koleos were sold in car dealerships in Belarus. It seems that a restyled version is also worth waiting for in our country, of course, unofficially. The start of sales in Korea is scheduled for the end of March. Prices start at 28 won, which is just under 600 million when converted to rubles.

Major changes

Outwardly, the car has an extended grille, it is now decorated with horizontal elements. The front bumper has also changed, visually it has become more suitable for her. New wheels are also available in two sizes: 18 or 19 inches.

The dimensions of the car remained the same. Millimeter values:

The wheelbase is 2705 mm, the clearance is a little short of the off-road one: 19 cm. The interior materials have changed, but only those who drove the pre-styling version will notice the difference. An additional Type-C port appeared at the back. And also in expensive versions of the new QM6, a multimedia touchscreen will grow: 9,3 inches instead of the previous 8,7.


The diesel engine is officially delisted, and all-wheel drive has also become unavailable. Now the engine range consists of a gasoline “aspirated” with a capacity of 144 liters. With. and gas for 140 "horses". Both are equipped with a CVT gearbox.

Freight layout

The most interesting moment in restyling is the transformation of Koleos into a two-seater van. Outwardly, it is no different from the usual version, only metal crossbars appeared on the second-row windows. The stowed rear seats provide 1410 liters of cargo space. The car in this version was called QM6 Quest.
