Russian electric cars of the Evolute brand are officially shown in Moscow
Russian electric vehicles of the Evolute brand are shown to the general public. At the Motorinvest plant in Lipetsk, they plan to launch their mass production.

In total, they promise to produce five models. Three of them were shown in Moscow at a small exhibition - a sedan, a minivan and a compact crossover.

Talks about mass production of electric cars have been going on since the beginning of 2022. In March, Motorinvest, in cooperation with the leadership of the Lipetsk Region and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, entered into a special agreement. It is planned to invest more than 13 billion rubles in a promising project for the production of Russian electric cars.

Skeptics doubted that Russia would be able to organize the production of cars from scratch without traditional internal combustion engines. Moreover, the Motorinvest plant since 2016 has been engaged only in the assembly of Chinese cars of the Changan brand. This manufacturer does not have the appropriate technical and engineering base.

In April 2022, the situation cleared up a bit - reporters were able to photograph one of the prototype electric cars.
The other day, the secret was completely revealed - the Russian Evolute are Chinese licensed Dongfeng, DFSK and Voyah models. Manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom, in principle, do not care how to sell cars.

If a partner wants to sell them under his own brand - please! Anyway, the components for assembling the model will be shipped from China.

The i-PRO sedan is a licensed copy of the Aeolus E70 from Dongfeng, which began selling back in 2020. The electric car is equipped with a motor that develops 150 hp. With. This power unit is able to accelerate the sedan to hundreds in 9,9 seconds.

i-PRO's top speed will be limited to 150 km/h. This will protect the engine and running battery from excessive loads.

The second Lipetsk electric car shown at the Moscow exhibition is the i-VAN. Already by the name you can understand that this car is in the back of a minivan type. The model is almost a complete copy of the Chinese LingZhi EV. The engine of this electric car develops 123 hp. With.

The third model is i-JOY. The small crossover is a copy of the DFSK Glory E3. They decided to make the car the most sporty in the line - it is equipped with an engine that develops 163 hp. With.

The Lipetsk plant failed to show two cars - i-JET and Free. But we know for sure that these are converted models from the Chinese Voyah.

When the serial assembly of Russian electric cars will be launched, it is still unknown. Although, the big question is whether it is worth calling them domestic.
