Chinese tractors produced in the Moscow region will become Russian

A couple of years ago, the American company AGCO-RM, which had been selling tractors in the Russian Federation since 2015, left the Russian market. And this despite the fact that its share in total sales of Western-made agricultural machinery was approximately 25%. However, the Russian branch did not give up and created a new organization - Optitech Agro, retaining a ready-made dealer network and a team of experienced managers.


There was only one small thing left to do: it was necessary to find a reliable partner. And one was found - the largest manufacturer (or rather, No. 1) in China of tractors with a power of more than 100 hp. With. - Hanwo company. Last year, almost 30 units of equipment rolled off the assembly lines of its enterprises. For example: the market for wheeled tractors in the Russian Federation does not exceed 000 vehicles.

This is a line that includes 4 main models with “star” names. The most powerful of the tractors is Antares, equipped with a six-cylinder diesel engine producing 220, 240 or 260 “horses”. The second tractor in the line is Altair, equipped with a diesel engine in the power range of 165-185 horsepower. Box – 16 steps. The third car is Alcor with an engine of 130 or 140 hp. With. It’s interesting: all tractors, regardless of engine type, have the same cabin. At the same time, air conditioning is already included in the basic package. Optionally, the tractors are equipped with a front power take-off shaft and an electronic linkage control system.


Optitech Agro has its own plant in Golitsyno (GolAZ): the production of Chinese equipment will be launched there. At the same time, partners pay special attention to localization. For example, cars that will roll off the assembly line in the fall will receive Russian navigation and telemetry systems (while they are being tested). It is expected that the localization process will deepen until the manufacturer receives the right to affix the “Made in Russia” sign to its products.

What does assembling Chinese tractors in Russia provide?
