Anchor release - what's easier! Threw the piece of iron overboard and that was it. Over the centuries, the method of arranging a watercraft for parking has not changed. We couldn't think of anything better. What if this is not a boat or a cutter, but a “little craft” with a displacement of tens of thousands of tons? Then nuances appear: after all, the anchor of such a ship also weighs a lot and it needs to be lowered into the water in a special way. The chain alone, almost as thick as your hand, evokes not only respect, but even awe. How to lower and raise all this multi-ton “economy”? The ship is so large that the anchor is not visible from the side.
Of course, there are subtleties. For example, look at the boatswain commanding the anchor and spinning some kind of contraption that looks like a steering wheel - he is... wearing a mask! Why does he need her? This clearly doesn't look like a New Year's party or show. But it will soon become clear why the sailor needs this “decoration”. Meanwhile, the chain on the huge winch begins to move, which is accompanied by noise and clanging.
However, the anchor (there are two in total - left and right) has not yet been lowered - everyone is waiting for the captain’s command. Finally, it sounded and the speed of the chain increased sharply. There is dust and noise all around, which only spoil the peaceful picture of the quiet sea and green islands overboard.
