The whole forest in one fell swoop!

The whole forest in one fell swoop!
Everything related to wood processing has always brought good income. Therefore, it is not surprising: they are investing in the industry, creating new equipment, the analogues of which simply do not exist. Designers are trying to minimize human participation in hazardous operations related to tree felling and processing. Interesting machines of the latest generations are discussed in a video courtesy of the Tech Box channel.

In the first frames there is a transport, which at the same time performs the functions of a skidder, sorter and delivery of wood to the “collection point”. But first the trunk needs to be cut down. This is done by equipment from the well-known tractor manufacturer John Deere. The machine is a real forest harvester that cuts, stacks, and, if necessary, loads it all onto timber trucks. If the tree is thin, the operator of the equipment does something drastic: its power is such that it can easily uproot the plant. But it is not only the West that can boast of new technologies. The Belarusians showed off their super machine, capable of turning any type of wood waste into useful wood chips on the go. A car with special equipment can easily “digest” trunks with a diameter of up to 560 mm. But this is not the most interesting thing - do you want to look at equipment walking in the literal sense of the word? Watch the video!
