Lada Niva Bronto and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon – budget car versus pompous premium

There are two best domestic SUVs in Russia. This is if we discard homemade products and radical modifications, in which it is difficult to recognize the original models. Of course, these are Niva and UAZ. It’s hard to say who assembles the best SUVs – the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant or AvtoVAZ. The UAZ is frame, especially since it was developed for military needs. This is generally an all-terrain vehicle that should follow tanks. And the Niva was considered an off-road passenger car, and no serious dirt was mentioned in the operating manual. It is strange that the VAZ-2121 and all models derived from it are distinguished by full-fledged off-road qualities. And it’s still difficult to say which is better – Niva or UAZ. At least the all-wheel drive brainchild of AvtoVAZ is more comfortable.


One of the legends of foreign production is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The name alone is worth it - it’s not for nothing that in Russia all SUVs are often considered “jeeps”. If you ask the rare Russian owners of the Wrangler model which car is better - theirs or the Niva, they will simply laugh. But the author of the Autospot channel is not sure about this. He took the Lada Niva Bronto and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and compared which SUV is better. Oddly enough, our car turned out to be no worse than the “American”.
