VIS-Auto announced the dates for the return of Niva Bronto

The most passable version of LADA Niva, produced by VIS-Auto, a subsidiary of AVTOVAZ, will return. This will happen in early autumn, and the car will most likely be simplified, like the basic version of the domestic SUV.


LADA Niva Bronto is the most expensive modification of the serial Niva, produced since September 2021. She also suffered due to the introduction of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. Since AvtoVAZ stopped producing the base SUV, there is nothing for the VIS company to remake.

Let us remind you that only the most expensive configurations of Niva Legends were used to create the Bronto modification. The SUV received a modified four-wheel drive with self-locking differentials. The gear ratio was also changed to 4,1.


The Bronto was fitted with new shock absorbers and special off-road tires. All this together allowed to increase the clearance to 240 mm. The rear axle has also been strengthened, in accordance with the claims of the owners of conventional Nivs, who use them for driving in the mud more often than on highways and the city.

The fact that the production of LADA Niva Bronto will resume no earlier than at the beginning of autumn was announced on July 19 by representatives of the VIS-Auto company. So far, the company is behind AVTOVAZ by about 2 months.

It is not a fact that the SUV will have to be simplified - it is possible that the problem with components will be successfully resolved by the fall. If VIS-Auto receives Lada Niva Legend in the "top" versions, then Bronto will be the same as at the end of 2021.

So far, assembly lines are producing cars in pickup-type bodies and a commercial van based on the Lada Grant chassis. Naturally, this is the base of a simplified model, which is assembled at the “parent” enterprise, because there are simply no others.


VIS-Auto has already managed to assemble a prototype of a special vehicle on the chassis of a simplified Niva Legend. This technique has lost the airbag, "ERA-GLONASS" and ABS. Now the car is undergoing field tests. This is LADA Niva Bronto or some other model is still unknown.

How much they will ask for an improved Lada Niva Bronto SUV is not reported. The final price depends on the "workpiece". If this is a simplified LADA Niva Legend, then the cost will presumably decrease by 80-100 thousand rubles.

In any case, fans of domestic SUVs will be happy to resume production of the Bronto modification.
