No wonder - their cost was on par with their competitors. Those, of course, were inferior in size in the budget category, but in terms of engine volume and power they were often superior to Chinese models. And the reliability and love of Russian drivers for cars from EU countries is not even worth mentioning.
But when many brands left our market, the Chinese began to occupy empty niches. Not as quickly as economists thought - AvtoVAZ was even given a chance to gain a foothold. Only the domestic manufacturer itself experienced difficulties. The production of cars stalled; the production of the Lada Granta, and then the Vesta, was somehow established. Even the Niv production lines stopped. It turned out that they managed to “stuff” the former Soviet car with foreign parts. But Chinese manufacturers have “woke up”.
