First public flight of XPeng X2 lasted 1,5 hours
As part of the GITEX GLOBAL technological exhibition held in the UAE, XPeng demonstrated the technical capabilities of its X2 development. The debut flight of the fifth generation air taxi was able to be observed by all the visitors of the event. To do this, of course, it was necessary to obtain permission from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.

The double aircraft is made of carbon fiber, due to which it has a lighter weight. The design and shape were developed taking into account the provision of optimal flight characteristics. The XPeng X2 can be controlled both manually and offline. Starting, returning and landing an air taxi will require one push of a button.

The first flight took place without pilots and lasted as much as 90 minutes. The car was remotely controlled from the ground, a camera was installed in the cab. The flying supercar X2 is capable of climbing to a height of up to 1000 meters and moving at an average speed of 130 km/h. The presented model is perfect for short flights at low altitude in the city.

XPENG AEROHT has become the first Chinese company to complete an operational risk assessment of a manned autonomous aerial vehicle overseas and is not going to stop there. The presentation of the sixth generation flying car is scheduled for October 24 this year.

The novelty, according to the manufacturer, can ensure safe movement not only in the air, but also on the ground. The transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional mobility became possible, among other things, due to the design features. The airmobile is equipped with an automated transformation system.

A successful test flight in Dubai could be the prelude to more serious deliveries of flying cars from Guangzhou, China. Moreover, the technical possibilities for this there are.
