Luxury yacht "A" is planned to be built for an unnamed customer

Philippe Starck, who developed the futuristic watercraft, formerly called the Sigma SF99, said that an updated version could be assembled as early as 2022. This is one of the most recognizable yachts, standing out from the crowd and having impressive performance.

Details

The first copy was designed for the Russian billionaire A. Melnichenko. He turned to F. Stark back in 2004. According to the designer, he sketched the general view in 15 minutes, and made most of the contours in 2,5 hours. Despite the fact that the ship was created 15 years ago, it remains one of the most original to this day.



The assembly was carried out by the Blohm & Voss shipyard, the cost was over $ 300 million. Currently, many improvements have been made to the design and negotiations are underway to create a second copy. Interestingly, the use of electric motors is not provided. It is planned to install traditional power units that have proven themselves well.

Technical features

In addition to the original hull shape and a small superstructure, the yacht has a number of aspects that are worth paying attention to. With a length of 119 meters, this is a large vessel, but due to the layout, it is perceived to be much smaller than it actually is.

The reverse slope of the bow reduces water resistance, the boat is stable and leaves a minimal footprint. Due to this solution, the cabins were moved to the bow, you can admire the views through the glazing along the entire length of the wall.



The yacht has a heliport and a large swimming pool, which is partially open so that you can relax there even during rainy seasons. There are two more pools on board. Moreover, one has a glass bottom, which at the same time acts as a ceiling in a nightclub under it.

The vessel is designed for 14 passengers and 35 crew members. The interior decoration is striking in luxury. In four of the six guest suites, the walls move to change the space as you see fit. On board there is everything you need for a comfortable stay.



The yacht is powered by a pair of MAN engines that accelerate it to 43 km/h. When traveling at cruising speed, the cruising range is 12 kilometers. Other technical characteristics were not made public, but according to the creators, the level of security meets the most stringent standards.
