Jetour Dashing crossovers are now produced in Russia

Jetour Dashing crossovers are now produced in Russia
The Russian Avtotor plant has begun assembling new crossovers at its facilities. This is Dashing from Jetour. In the future, other models of the brand will join it.

For now, crossovers are assembled using the “screwdriver” assembly method. This means that cars come from China in disassembled form. But now Avtotor specialists, together with their Chinese colleagues, are preparing facilities for full-cycle production.

The latter means that the cars will not only be assembled. The body will be welded and painted. In general, such cars can already be called almost Russian. Full cycle assembly will begin in the first quarter of 2025.

But that's not all. The Avtotor plant entered into an agreement with Jetour, according to which partners from China are not against localization. This means that parts, and in the future components and assemblies, will be produced at the assembler’s facilities. Or Russian partners will start supplying them.

Jetour Dashing is a compact crossover, which is positioned by the manufacturer as a youth crossover. Even the brand name consists of two words. “Jet” translates to a private business jet. "Tour" is a journey. Accordingly, Jetour produces comfortable cars that are suitable for adventure.

Externally, the Dashing crossover turned out to be beautiful. It definitely attracts attention. Chinese designers were guided by Lexus. But that didn't stop them from designing the front end in the style of the Lamborghini Urus.

The creators of Jetour Dashing did not limit themselves to just appearance. They firmly decided to make a bestseller that would be interesting primarily to young buyers with an active lifestyle. The crossover interior continues to play on the motifs of the body.

There are a minimum of physical buttons inside. Almost all options will have to be controlled via the multimedia system tablet. This will definitely appeal to young people. But conservatives will have to restructure themselves globally.

As for engines, there are two to choose from. In simpler versions, under the hood of the Jetour Dashing there will be a one and a half liter turbo engine with a power of 156 hp. The gearbox is offered with a choice of manual or robotic.

In the “top” versions, the crossover is equipped with a 1,6-liter power unit with 197 horsepower. This modification has only a robotic gearbox.

It is worth noting that with a 197 hp engine. Jetour Dashing is going very interestingly. Despite accelerating to the first hundred in 10,2 seconds, the crossover takes off briskly. If you press the gas pedal a little harder, the wheels can slip.

Prices for Russian-assembled Jetour Dashing have not yet been announced.
