And we smile, comparing what we saw with the price tag of the car. For a minute, it has 6 (six!) zeros, or more precisely, 5 million rubles. Moreover, the car is currently being produced only for the Chinese domestic market; it can only be imported to us independently. This is a frame SUV, with all-wheel drive, a solid axle and other attributes of an SUV, including large wheels and a ground clearance of more than 200 mm.


But the owner, buying a hybrid SUV, rightly believed that the cabin would be quiet. As it should be in a car for 5 “lyams”. But these expectations were shattered by the harsh and simple-minded reality. It consisted in the fact that the top-end SUV was equipped with low-quality sound insulation - the layers of factory “Shumka” not only did not fit tightly to the body and broke like a plastic ruler, but also became “keepers” of moisture (like water). It is known that Chinese iron loves it very much and even the slightest contact is immediately marked by a “union”, the fruits of which are good old rust.

But besides pieces of padding polyester (the same one found in down jackets) found in the body niches on the rear wheel arches, the Tank-400 has one more “highlight” - the lithium batteries of the hybrid are located in the cabin - under the false trunk floor and the rear passenger seat. Remembering from chemistry lessons about the explosive power of the reaction of lithium with air, such a solution looks extremely doubtful - if the battery is damaged, passengers will not have precious seconds to evacuate.
