Among connoisseurs of exotic automobiles, lovers of off-road vehicles occupy a separate niche. They are somewhat reminiscent of those who like curvy ladies. In both the first and second cases, a certain unusualness attracts. For example, I remember from childhood how a mining dump truck was advertised using an unusual juxtaposition. Standing next to its huge front wheel was an adult man of average height who could barely reach its top edge. But what can we say about their carrying capacity, comparable to several railway cars at once?


For us, people from the Union, when it comes to such equipment, the Belarusian giants of the BelAZ brand definitely come to mind. Fortunately, the plant was preserved during the difficult period of the 90s, when many of its colleagues were “decided to live long.” Demanded giants are still produced in Zhodino today. But such hard workers are also produced at other enterprises in many countries.

For example, the German two-axle Liebherr T 282B is assembled at American facilities. It has a fixed tipper body and 10 years ago had the title of the largest stationary truck in the world with 360 tons of recommended loading.
