Then designers and enthusiasts were able to convince that such events were necessary. In the USSR, racing had nuances, especially early ones. Firstly, only production cars participated in them. This was necessary in order to test their strength and endurance. Often, during the process, weak points were identified, they were corrected, and then the rework was introduced into the series. Secondly, the races took place in trucks. After all, they began to be produced en masse - the country needed to be built.
Nowadays, racing with obstacles on trucks is called a truck trial. They are not as popular as in Soviet times, but they also attract crowds of fans. By the way, the revival of these competitions took place back in the 90s, then the whole thing was abandoned. But a few years ago, the truck trial began to gain momentum again. The author of the “Don’t Brake Channel” will show such competitions. And they will be interesting - Soviet and Russian trucks will clash in battle. Of course, they are modified.
