Homemade turbine from vacuum cleaner engines - a cheap way to increase power

There are many talented mechanics in our country, and some of them arrange interesting experiments. The presented video shows the process of creating a budget turbocharger from two old motors from vacuum cleaners and a chipboard box. Such a design can be assembled almost free of charge.


But the question arises about connecting it to the car, because the units are powered by a voltage of 220 volts. At first, an extension cord was used, but this idea turned out to be unsuccessful, and a generator was placed in the trunk for testing, having previously secured the exhaust gas outlet at the rear light attachment point. The design turned out to be not quite neat, but at the first stage the task was to check the performance.
As a result, Lada Kalina showed uncharacteristic agility - when the turbine was turned on, the wheels slipped even in third gear.

Of course, there are also enough shortcomings - a power failure at high speeds, unstable behavior of the car.
