Tatra 815 8x8-DAF, able to compete with Scania and Volvo

The Czechoslovak Tatras have always been considered one of the best off-road trucks or vehicles for various purposes. This was achieved thanks to the vast experience accumulated by the engineers of the enterprise over the long decades of its existence. Indeed, since the middle of the 600th century, a wide variety of transport equipment has been produced under the TATRA brand: carriages, wagons, trams, cars and trucks. Moreover, the passenger transport produced by the enterprise had an elite purpose. For example, in their country, the Tatra XNUMX series belonged to the top class cars and was used as an executive vehicle. The leaders of the country, including members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, used these reliable, although far from being as pretentious as our ZIL, cars.


At a certain point, the plant focused on the production of multi-tonnage trucks, which have proven themselves well in our Far North. But times have changed and many successful projects have sunk into oblivion. But not TATRA! Last year, the company, now called TATRA TRUCKS, exceeded its target for truck sales. In total, they were delivered to customers in the amount of 1277 pieces. For the enterprise, even the global pandemic did not cause a decrease in production capacity.
