Railcar AM1 - when you need to get to the place of work
It is now relatively easy to get to work. Public transport runs in megacities, and fixed-route taxis will be happy to take you out of the city. Most large enterprises located in rural areas have their own small bus fleets to transport workers. Well, valuable employees, with corresponding incomes, proudly sit behind the wheel of personal cars, often luxurious ones.

In the USSR, everything was different, especially until the early 1980s. There were few cars on hand, and only bosses drove them to work. The rest kept "swallows" in garages and parking lots. We went only for something large, and more often on weekends to summer cottages and villages. I had to get to work outside the city by electric trains, and before that - by steam locomotives. Only here you can’t run full-fledged railways to each plant, but narrow-gauge railways were used everywhere - it was so profitable. Why not organize the delivery of workers along these routes?

For these purposes, railcars were invented - railway cars, which were equipped with engines. The author of the channel "Ivan Zenkevich PRO Cars" found one of these vehicles and talks about it in his video.
