Volkswagen introduced the Touareg Edition 20

The legendary model "Tuareg" this year will be 20 years old. In connection with this event, the German auto giant will release a special series dedicated to the anniversary. According to representatives of the concern, the car will receive many changes both outside and inside. This will make it possible to distinguish the car from the general range and, according to the idea of ​​the developers, will increase interest in it.

External Features

All cars of the special series will be painted in a special color Meloe Blue. For this version, they developed Bogota rims with a diameter of 20 inches. As follows from the presentation, they will only be used on the anniversary Tuareg.



The rear diffuser and wheel arches are finished in black to highlight the lower contour and create an interesting visual effect. Thanks to this solution, the side part looks more embossed. The windows are lightly tinted and the pillars are adorned with "Edition 20" badges.



Outside there are no chrome elements, traditional for this model. The car turned out dark and modern. Due to small changes, the car is perceived differently, which was the main goal of the designers.

What's new inside

First of all, attention is drawn to the door sills, which bear the logo of a special series, highlighted by the backlight. The seats are upholstered in Savona leather with lozenge stitching and contrast trim in Ceramique beige leather.



The instrument panel, door cards and steering wheel are accentuated with red and beige piping to enhance the interior elements. The gear knob is leather-wrapped and has an "Edition 20" badge on it. VW Travel Assist and Innovision Cockpit with 15-inch multimedia touchscreen are standard.

Customers can choose from two engine options V6 TDI, V6 TSI and plug-in hybrid V6 TSI. The PHEV delivers the most power at 375 hp. With. and 600 Nm of torque. The entire line of power units guarantees good dynamics and allows you to move comfortably in any road conditions.



All four engine options are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission from Volkswagen. She has established herself as a reliable and unpretentious unit. By default, all cars are equipped with all-wheel drive.

The start of sales will be officially announced within a month. To date, there is no data on the number of cars that will be assembled and their cost.
