Aion Hyper SSR: new 1208-horsepower hypercar from GAC

The Chinese electric supercar Aion Hyper SSR debuted in Italy. It became one of the most interesting exhibits at the GAC Advanced Design Milan automobile exhibition. Such close attention to it is due, among other things, to its incredible power and dynamics.


The exotic hypercar is made in a carbon fiber body with a length of 4538 mm and a height of 1238 mm. In terms of size, it can be contrasted with the Croatian development Rimac Nevera, although the latter has much more power. We remind you that this hypercar develops 1877 hp. With.


But the Aion Hyper SSR also shows impressive numbers. The three-motor electric drive produces 1208 horsepower at peak. With. and accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1,9 seconds. This is only 0,1 second longer than the same Rimac Nevera, but the difference in power is huge.

The Chinese hypercar received a modest speed limit of 250 km/h. If we again take the example of its competitor from Croatia, it accelerates to an insane 412 km/h, of course, at the pilot’s own risk.

However, if you want to feel a lot of power under the seat on a relatively “budgetary” basis, then the Aion Hyper SSR is definitely your choice. Its price in the basic configuration is 178000 USD or about 16,75 million rubles. The Ultimate Track version costs $233000 or 21,9 million rubles.


For comparison, the Croatian hypercar Rimac Nevera is available only to those who can shell out about $2 million or 188,3 million rubles in one payment. A Chinese car costs 10% of this amount.

The exact date for the appearance of the hypercar from China has not yet been announced, although there is every reason to believe that this could happen at the end of 2024 or in 2025. Against this backdrop, the leaders of Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and Rimac clearly have something to think about.

GAC says the Hyper SSR's interior is made from environmentally friendly materials and contains no animal products. In front of the driver is an 8,8-inch virtual instrument cluster, which works in tandem with a second 14,6-inch display on the console.


In addition to the Aion Hyper SSR hypercar, the Chinese company GAC showed Car Culture Series 3.0 in Milan. This is a series of three concept cars that represent the future of urban mobility. The range includes the City Pod, City Box van and City Run sports coupe.
