Soviet off-road equipment - a GAZ-66 truck against a T-40AM tractor in a swamp
It’s not just that they say that even the driver of the “coolest” SUV will eventually have to turn to a tractor driver for help. Agricultural machinery, although not designed to conquer mud, has enormous potential in this area. It was designed this way for a reason, because fields in spring and autumn sometimes turn into full-fledged swamps. And no matter how hard the owners of “jeeps” try, the tractor is still better in cross-country ability, especially the tracked one. It’s just a shame - you’re investing hundreds of thousands of rubles in a far from budget SUV. And then, when he gets stuck in the mud, he has to run after the tractor. And that one looks as if they forgot to sell it for scrap in the USSR. And at the same time he calmly drives to where the prepared SUV is stuck. And most importantly, he returns back with the rescued jeep.

What if we take army cargo SUVs? For example, GAZ-66. And try which is better in terms of cross-country ability - the Shishiga or the old T40AM tractor. The latter, by the way, is all-wheel drive, as indicated by the letters in the name. This is exactly what they did in the video on the “MNOGO TEHNIKI” channel. And you can argue as much as you like about the unprofessionalism of the drivers, but they have gone too far. Even prepared SUVs would hardly have gotten there. But who will win the battle if everyone gets stuck in the swamp?
