In the Moscow region (Lobnya) they are going to launch a plant where they will restore components and assemblies for cars and trucks, as well as construction, agricultural and specialized machines. The project is being carried out by the company “Mechanika”: the estimated investment volume is over 400 million rubles. The first stage of production workshops is planned to be launched at the beginning of this summer. In addition to repairs, the company also intends to organize the production of some spare parts.
What do car owners think about this? Opinions are mostly positive, but with reservations:
It’s a necessary thing: before, no one had changed the engine when oil loss began due to wear. We went to the nearest factory, turned to specialists and restored the engine - they bored the crankshaft and cylinders. But everything was somehow unofficial, without guarantees
– Alexander recalls
Yes, the plant is good. If you take your engine, for example, to a specific company for repairs and have it restored, you will get it back with at least some kind of guarantee. And not like before with my friend “Uncle Vasya”: how long the motor will last after the intervention is not known. The plant should still have good equipment
– Richard agrees with Alexander
It is unlikely that they will contact car owners - it is unprofitable. “It’s more interesting” to repair a truck or a combine harvester. But for owners of ordinary cars, prices are inflated and you will think a hundred times: buy a new, for example, gearbox (maybe a used one) or send it for repair
– Roman Evgenievich from Moscow expressed his opinion
It would be great if they would repair foreign cars there, too. The only question then arises - how much will it cost? After all, in the Russian Federation today it is not possible to find spare parts for any car at a “reasonable” price
– complains Vladimir from Cherepovets
What's the hurry? They’ll open a factory and see who will go there and how much it costs. It is possible that they will also start working on passenger cars: the niche is not occupied: in Russia there are few organizations that are engaged in the restoration of components and assemblies of passenger cars
- Ivan Nikolaevich from Tula draws conclusions.
