KamAZ is preparing new dump trucks for large-scale production

KamAZ successfully assembled the first import-substituted dump trucks of the K5 generation in three modifications. The process has been worked out - the models can be launched into series, which they will do.


This will increase overall production rates. By the end of February, the plant intends to reach the level of 200 trucks per day. And in the fourth quarter of this year – 220 cars.

KamAZ management understands that the key to success in the heavy-duty equipment market is mass production of the most modern models. Despite the departure of European brands, the Chinese are “tapping on their heels.”


Excessive enthusiasm for the release of outdated models has already brought its negative results. In January, Chinese Sitrak overtook KamAZ in sales on the Russian market. And this is not an accident, but a pattern - the situation has been leading to this for a whole year.

Before the introduction of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation, the domestic manufacturer did not experience any difficulties in producing K5 generation trucks. But after breaking partnerships with brands from EU countries, we had to look for new suppliers. Some of the components and components were found in China, and some were imported on their own.

And finally the situation returned to normal. KamAZ is ready for large-scale production of modern trucks. The main model will be a truck tractor with index 54901. It complies with the Euro-5 environmental standard and is equipped with an automatic transmission. The engine is a straight-six with a power of 482 hp. With.

The domestically produced truck tractor is not inferior to its imported counterparts. The spacious cabin with a flat floor allows drivers to feel comfortable even on the longest flights.

The three models that KamAZ has already prepared for large-scale production are the 6595 series dump trucks. The basic one is called KAMAZ-6595. This is a three-axle truck with a 6x4 wheel arrangement. Like the truck tractor, it belongs to the K5 generation. Two drive axles provide the vehicle with high cross-country ability, sufficient for work even in quarries, not to mention standard construction sites.


The manufacturer also offers an all-wheel drive version of the dump truck. It is called KamAZ-65952. This truck is suitable for working in the most difficult conditions.

For those customers for whom maximum load capacity is important, the manufacturer offers the four-axle KamAZ-65951. It has an 8x4 wheel arrangement, which helps to take up to 32,5 tons of cargo “on board”.
