Bryansk truck BAZ-S36F11 will now be assembled elsewhere

A new heavy truck from the Bryansk plant was demonstrated to the public last year. Initially, they wanted to produce the car in the Northern capital at the facilities of the former Toyota enterprise. However, later plans changed: in St. Petersburg it was decided to put on the assembly line a Russian analogue of the Toyota Camry (the release of pre-production prototypes is planned for the end of 2025).


The BAZ-S36F11 car will be produced in a more suitable place: at the former MAN plant. It is located in Shushary, an industrial zone of St. Petersburg. The truck's features include independent spring suspensions and reinforced axles borrowed from the military BAZ-6909. This is not surprising: the car is designed for use in the harsh conditions of Siberia at gas and oil industry enterprises. The role of the power unit is played by the Yaroslavl engine YaMZ-6531, essentially a licensed version of the French Renault dCi 11.


The cabin is original and will be manufactured using technology that involves the use of composite panels on a frame made of steel pipes. The management of the Bryansk plant decided to patent the external appearance, as well as the interior of the cabin. All supporting documents were received by the Engineering Department of the Obukhov Plant, which was responsible for developing the design of the machine.
