Chery Chinese cars want to be assembled in Russia

Chery Automobile announced its plans to conquer the Russian car market. The Chinese company is going to bring two new sedans to our country, and in the near future there are intentions to organize assembly at one or several car factories in the Russian Federation.


A representative of the management of Chery said that negotiations are currently underway with Russian partners on the localization of production. With what exactly - is not reported. Firstly, this is a trade secret, and secondly, it is too early to talk about business before signing the contract.

By the way, Chery recently became the official sponsor of the Spartak football club. This openly hints at the serious plans of Chinese manufacturers in Russia.


Chery Automobile wants to take advantage of the current situation in our automotive market. Now that a number of European and American manufacturers have left it, there is a serious chance to gain a foothold.

In 2023, Chery is going to bring a number of models to Russia and plans to occupy as many free niches as possible. For example, two sedans that they want to present with us and even arrange their production will belong to the budget class. Taxi companies, car sharing and delivery services are already interested in them.
