A few decades ago, the concept of "all-terrain vehicle" was perceived as something huge and awkward. After all, the main task of such a vehicle is to drive where ordinary cars are likely to get stuck. Well, why is there such a beauty? But, commercialization and the widespread desire for beauty and comfort could easily break the stereotypes. Today's all-terrain vehicles are stylish and comfortable vehicles that are not ashamed to show up on ordinary roads. Of course, their main function - super passability, also remains at its best. They are also produced in the post-Soviet space.
One of the most striking examples can be considered the production of the joint Russian-Ukrainian amphibious all-terrain vehicle Sherp, which began 10 years ago. Everything turned out so that the St. Petersburg craftsman A. Garagashyan became the author of the project. But the Ukrainian businessman Vladimir Shkolnik took up its promotion. The resulting car had versatility in terms of the surface on which it was able to move: swamp, rocky surface, winter roads, sand or forest windfall. There are several modifications, and its release continues simultaneously in both countries. Russian ones are used mainly for the domestic market, while Ukrainian ones are also exported to North America. Last year, the Dnepropetrovsk Atlas model appeared, which will become a worthy competitor for its older comrade. She is featured in a video from the Review Machines channel.
