Audi announced the start of sales of the flagship A8L Horch

Representatives of the German auto giant presented the production version of a luxury sedan designed for the business elite. The car differs from the standard restyled A8 in its increased length and a number of design elements. Sales started in China, there is no data on the debut in Europe and other regions yet.

What are the features

This event is notable for the fact that the iconic version of Horch returned to the line again. The wheelbase of the car has been increased by 130 mm, making the overall length of the Audi A8L Horch 5,45 m. The main emphasis is on luxury and richness of equipment.



There is a beverage cooler in the center console in the back seat. On the armrest is a touch control module for additional functions. Each of the passengers has its own display and many settings that allow you to adapt the system for yourself.

Characteristics and execution

There are few external changes. The shape of the front optics, the design of the front bumper and the radiator grille with clear vertical slats are different. The decoration uses a lot of chrome parts. Also, the car is equipped with vintage-style wheels, on which the “H” logo is applied, suggesting that this is the legendary Horch.



The increased length did not provoke fundamental alterations in the design. Only the rear doors have changed, the pillars remain the same as in the standard versions.

Today, one powertrain option is offered - a “mild” hybrid V6 turbocharged 3.0-liter, issuing 340 hp. With. and 500 N * m of torque. At the first presentation in 2022, it was said about the possible configuration with V8 and V12 engines, but there is no data on this yet. The car has permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.



Inside, the car received all the options that the German manufacturer has in its arsenal today. In addition to numerous functions, it is worth noting the finish of precious wood and leather. The comfort of the rear passengers is given special attention. It is known that A8L Horch will be assembled only in Germany, the estimated volumes are small, but if demand exceeds forecasts, they can be increased several times.



The price for the Chinese market was 11,1 million in terms of Russian rubles. There is no data on the prospects for deliveries to the Russian Federation yet. Most likely, with the interest of buyers, cars will be imported according to gray schemes.
