Servicing warranty Renault cars in Russia will now be much more difficult

Servicing warranty Renault cars in Russia will now be much more difficult
Owners of new Renault vehicles may experience warranty issues. The problem is that Renault has left the Russian market - this will definitely affect the work of official dealerships.

If the French manufacturer stops supplying spare parts and components, partners will not be able to service warranty vehicles. Parts of Renault dealers will have to retrain, someone may stop working.

Renault promises that the owners of warranty cars will not suffer - the obligation to service them will be transferred to AvtoVAZ. But it is one thing to promise, and another thing to organize an uninterrupted supply chain of parts and components.

Due to a number of economic sanctions against Russia, the delivery of spare parts for European and American cars through the once established official channels is impossible. The President of Polytech shared his concerns about this in a letter to the Minister of Industry and Trade.

What's the point of warranty service if dealers can't supply the parts? AvtoVAZ, which assumes the obligations of Renault, simply does not have the necessary material and technical base.

It will take a couple of months for Renault car owners to be able to receive full service, even in the absence of economic sanctions. This is a transition period during which you need to order the necessary parts and supplies.

But how to do this if the supplies are "frozen"? It is unlikely that the governments of European countries that initiate a series of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation will worry about Renault's obligations.

The President of the Polytech Foundation asks the Ministry of Industry and Trade to allow Renault dealers to continue selling Duster, Logan and Sandero cars. There is a proposal to use dealerships to sell future Moskvich models. Thus, it will be possible to maintain Renault's sales network, which will help to arrange the supply of spare parts and consumables necessary for servicing warranty vehicles.

What will come of this and whether the proposals will be accepted is still unknown. But problems with the supply of spare parts for foreign cars in Russia have been observed for several months. Until the economic sanctions are lifted, logistics will continue to work intermittently.
