Kia Sportage crossovers of the fifth generation appeared at dealers in Russia

Kia has started selling the latest generation Sportage model in Russia. Crossovers have already been seen in several salons and anyone can buy them.

Kia Sportage 2,5 liters comes in conjunction only with an 8-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with all-wheel drive.

Even in the basic configuration, called "Comfort", the crossover boasts seventeen-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a modern multimedia system. There are a number of heatings - this is a special winter package for Russia. It is installed already in the basic configuration, which will please the inhabitants of the northern latitudes.



It was difficult to set up the assembly of the Kia Sportage not only because of the shortage of electronics and economic sanctions. A new generation car required the modernization of production, the purchase of modern equipment and the training of specialists. But now the crossover is in no way inferior to modifications for the Korean and American markets.

It is noteworthy that only the long-wheelbase version of the Kia Sportage will be assembled at the Avtotor plant. It was decided to abandon the short crossover - it was bought worse, plus the manufacturer considered that it was not necessary to compete with other Kia and Hyundai models.

Despite the fact that the Sportage is no longer a frame SUV, as it was in the first generation, this car is loved in Russia for its reliability and high cross-country ability. The manufacturer hopes that the model will beat its predecessor in popularity.
