Flying Boat to start operating in Dubai in November 2023
Jet ZeroEmission, a hydrofoil boat developed by a Swiss company, will be the first recreational transport of this kind. Next fall, a zero-emission hydrogen-powered vessel will begin operations in Dubai.

When accelerating, the "flying boat" develops a speed of 18 knots. During the movement, the indicators will be 35-40 knots. The main purpose of the novelty is to serve the guests of Dubai hotels, as well as high-ranking officials and tourists.

This is not the first concept of this type. Many developers have tried to implement this solution, but not a single prototype has become a production model. There are examples of racing boats, participating in the America's Cup.
Well-known yachtsman Alex Tebo, founder and head of Jet ZeroEmission, said that most of the research is over. The concept has passed almost all the tests, but funding of 10 million euros is needed to complete the work. Some of them have already been received, there are agreements with investors, which makes it possible to guarantee that all the planned stages will be completed on time.
Tebo is known for having independently designed and built the hydrofoil trimaran L'Hydroptère. He has been working on similar projects for decades and in 2009 set a speed record on his ship.

He explained that the last tests will be carried out in Dubai, where interested companies have been found that provide everything necessary for work. The Jet will be the first ship to operate without waves, noise or harmful emissions. The development team expects that the novelty will be of interest to hotel owners from all over the world.
The design of the boat is more reminiscent of aircraft, than a floating craft. This is a capsule with streamlined contours 10 meters long. Inside it can accommodate 14 people including the pilot. Panoramic glazing will allow you to enjoy the surrounding landscapes. The material of manufacture is carbon fiber. Thanks to it, the structure turned out to be strong and light.
The first trip is planned during the COP28 climate conference, which will be held in the UAE in November 2023.
