Porsche FAT 919 Snowcat – the Germans assembled a “sports car” on caterpillar tracks

Porsche presented an unusual tracked vehicle at the Car//Design Event. The body on a unique chassis with metal tracks literally attracted the attention of the audience at the event.


The non-standard-looking car was built in 2023 specifically to participate in the FAT Mantei competition. However, even now he has something to do.


Of course, this car is not intended for fast races. Its conceptual task is to help the chef of the Mantei-Alm restaurant get to work through the snow. By the way, the establishment has been a favorite place for drivers testing Porsche prototypes for decades.

Car//Design Event is an event for journalists and students, during which the latter have the opportunity to personally meet and talk with leading automotive designers.

As a rule, manufacturers do not come empty-handed - they bring the latest developments and hold presentations of equipment. One of these exhibits was the Porsche FAT 919 Snowcat.
