The fastest production Mercedes in the history of the brand was presented

Mercedes' sports division, AMG, has unveiled the production version of the GT63 SE Performance model. The car develops 805 hp. The manufacturer has already stated that this is the fastest production car of the brand.


The 63 GT2025 SE Performance is a stylish two-door coupe. The car is a hybrid - this is required by modern environmental standards. Although, for the AMG sports division this is not the main thing.

They could easily get by with just one gasoline engine. But the hybrid “appendage” gives at least two serious advantages to a sports car. Firstly, he added an additional 200 horsepower. Secondly, it’s easier to implement an all-wheel drive scheme.


The power plant is based on a V8 engine with a displacement of 4,0 liters. Its power is 603 “horses”. This was achieved through the use of double turbocharging. An electric motor with 202 hp is installed on the rear axle of the car. The total power in the end is 805 “horses”.

The new AMG GT63 SE Performance accelerates to 100 km/h in 2,7 seconds. Such parameters put the coupe on the same line as the most outstanding supercars of our time.

Of course, technically the new Mercedes-AMG is considered a four-seater. But the back row is rather nominal. Adult passengers can fit there only if they really want to. And you can immediately forget about the convenience of movement even over short distances.

It’s better to fold the rear seat into the floor, forming a luggage compartment roomy enough for a coupe-type body. Then this Mercedes will be convenient for traveling long distances together. But only on roads with high-quality surfaces. After all, this is a supercar with low ground clearance.

The AMG GT63 SE Performance can also be driven as a full-fledged electric car. But the car won’t drive like this for long, because its battery capacity is only 6,1 kWh. The emphasis is on performance and maintaining optimal temperatures. This helps to use the full potential of the electric motor.


The car has a nine-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive is 4Matic+. If necessary, the electric motor located at the rear will transfer part of the power to the front axle.

The model has carbon ceramic brakes. This means that it is advisable to pre-warm them before the trip. Otherwise they will not work as intended. It's not difficult - just drive a few kilometers with active braking.

Externally, you can distinguish the hybrid model from the regular AMG GT63 by a special nameplate and a hatch for charging the battery. Prices for the new coupe have not yet been disclosed. They will be announced closer to the start of sales, scheduled for the end of 2024.
