True off-road passenger cars are gradually being removed from assembly lines. There are only a few of them left, and those that are still produced and in demand are becoming caricatures of the once hardy “hard workers.” Take, for example, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. This car was created by order of the Iranian Shah. The model had to have high cross-country ability, a powerful frame and impressive weight. You never know, you'll have to ram cars! This is an analogue of the Soviet UAZ-469. The car was made, however, the Shah no longer needed it. He had problems maintaining power. And “Gelik” eventually became popular, but turned into some kind of “ponto-cutter”, stuffed with options. And where is the reliability when the on-board computer is capable of blocking the engine if it seems to it that the car is faulty.
It's different from our UAZ! Take, for example, the Hunter Expedition model, the production of which was resumed quite recently. It's just some kind of fairy tale, a time machine! If you want to be in the USSR, take a ride on this miracle. An unforgettable experience is guaranteed. But seriously, such a simple car can even survive a nuclear explosion. There is essentially nothing to break there. And minor faults can be repaired on their own. Of course, the poor design requires physical effort, but no one bothers you to repair the car with an honest company. And they will tell you in more detail and test the UAZ Hunter Expedition on the “Ivan Zenkevich PRO cars” channel.
