GMC is on the verge of releasing a new electric pickup truck, Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, which instantly attracted the attention of potential buyers with a reduced price and a number of features. These include a “crab gait” made possible by a fully controlled chassis.


Initially, the manufacturer announced a power reserve of 644 km, but now the figures are different - up to 708 km on a single charge. Now there is every reason to consider the car one of the longest-range pickups in its class. It beats the Ford F-150 Lightning, Cybertruck and Rivian R1T.


In addition to the power reserve, the towing capacity of the pickup truck has also increased. It can now tow up to 4536 kg of cargo in the form of a trailer or other vehicle, which is 227 kg more than previously stated. Load capacity has increased by 68 kg and totals 658 kg.

Inside, everything is quite typical for electric vehicles. A vertical touchscreen information system, a digital instrument panel and a still round steering wheel instead of the steering wheel typical of modern EVs.

The older version of the 2024 model year GMC Sierra EV costs from $97500 or 9,179 million rubles at the current exchange rate. This version features an all-wheel drive powertrain. It develops a peak power of 754 hp. With. and torque 785 N*m.

By supporting 800-volt architecture, the pickup's battery can be charged with a charger with a power of up to 350 kW. Just 10 minutes of charging and you have an additional 161 km of range.

Features of the GMC Sierra EV include an adaptive air suspension system and Super Cruise for a more comfortable and relaxed driving experience. The partition between the cargo compartment and the cabin folds down - if removed, you can transport objects up to 3,35 meters in length.


In addition, the pickup truck can move diagonally. In this mode of movement, all four wheels turn in one direction, allowing you to avoid inconvenient off-road obstacles.

The launch of sales of the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 was originally planned for early 2024, but it was decided to postpone the premiere to the summer. Interestingly, all manufactured cars have already been sold out as part of pre-order, but their exact number has not been announced.
