Audi RS E-Tron GT Performance 2025 – new flagship and competitor to Porsche Taycan

Audi RS E-Tron GT Performance 2025 – new flagship and competitor to Porsche Taycan
Following the recent debut of the new Porsche Taycan, Audi introduces its promising competitor in the 2025 RS E-Tron GT Performance model. It is positioned as nothing less than an electric analogue of the petrol RS6 and RS7 in a sports version.

Fans of the brand will have to be a little upset: the updated E-Tron is inferior in performance to its rival from Porsche. In this regard, the situation is similar to the current RS E-Tron GT trailing behind the faster and more dynamic Taycan Turbo S.

Despite the lag behind its competitor, the new product is well ahead of its predecessor. There are no details on technical characteristics yet, but it is already known that the car’s power plant will be able to produce up to 637 hp. With. at its peak.

By comparison, the Taycan Turbo S produces 938 hp. With. The Turbo GT shows even more with its extreme 1019 hp. With. Not wanting to set power records, Audi engineers focused on range.

The rival accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,3 seconds, which means we can expect something similar in the new Audi. Interestingly, while the Taycan Turbo can be equipped with a single engine, the E-Tron is equipped with an all-wheel drive transmission with two independent engines.

There is no data on the battery yet, but it is known that the competitor to the new Audi RS E-Tron GT Performance has a battery with a capacity of 98,6 kWh. The new electric platform will provide fast charging with a power of up to 320 kW. Previously, a maximum of 270 kW was supported.

The design will not change much compared to previous versions, but the same cannot be said about the technical part. Photo: youtube.com

For the new product, Audi engineers have designed an updated suspension, which is installed on four two-valve shock absorbers. Each of them can be controlled individually, which gives wide possibilities for customizing the chassis system depending on driving conditions.

According to the latest plans, Audi will officially premiere the 2025 version of the RS E-Tron GT in the final weeks of this year. It is worth noting that the changes will also affect other models, including relatively budget representatives lower than the RS and RS Performance.

Since so far we only have a teaser of the new product, we can only follow the news and wait for more detailed information on the new product to appear.
