Externally, the Ambertruck E820 almost completely copies another new model of the domestic brand – JM. Of course, calling it Russian can only be a stretch, because it is a copy of the Chinese JMC Conquer truck. Ambertruck JM, by the way, has already appeared at some official dealers.
The technical characteristics of the new electric car are still kept secret. There is only information that its power reserve is sufficient to operate on the Moscow-Ryazan route. This must be understood in such a way that the existing infrastructure of charging stations will allow the electric car to reach its destination and return without problems.

The exact technical specifications of the Ambertruck E820 will appear closer to the start of mass production. After all, the model has not even been officially presented yet.
But it is known that the test electric car was assembled in Kaliningrad. But only the chassis was made there. Then he was sent to Nizhny Novgorod, where the car was equipped with a van. They decided to test the Ambertruck E820 in Moscow, after which they chose a route from the capital to Ryazan.
Let us remind you that the new Ambertruck trucks are “classmates” of the HD78 and Mighty EX9 models from Hyundai. They were not chosen by chance - the manufacturer tried to minimize the costs of re-equipment. After all, they are assembled on one line, the so-called “Korean”.
After analyzing sales and customer reviews, the management of the Avtotor plant selected Chinese partners taking into account feedback. The diesel Ambertruck JM and, accordingly, the electric car on this chassis have become structurally simpler than Hyundai models.

For example, Chinese-Russian cars do not have maintenance-free double-row wheel bearings. To simplify and reduce the cost of trucks, air suspension and even disc brakes were abandoned.
Structurally, Ambertruck models have much in common with the Soviet GAZ and ZIL. Only in appearance do they look modern, have cabover cabs, economical diesel engines and a 6-speed manual transmission.
If someone is indignant, saying, why produce such primitive machines, the answer will be found immediately. The simpler the trucks, the easier they are to maintain and repair. To do this, you do not need to go to the company center or service station. Even the drivers themselves can repair the car, naturally, if they are not afraid to get their hands dirty.
